Sanja Jovanovic is known not only for Croatia but also worldwide swimmer who swam the world record in 2007 in Debrecen in the 50m backstroke. Otherwise, the twin sister of the famous participants of Big Brother Tanja Jovanovic.
14 December 2007 at the European Championships in Debrecen career culminated in her winning the silver medal in the 100 meters backstroke with a new Croatian record that a day later achieved global result and won the gold medal and set a new world record in the 50 meter backstroke in a time of 26.50 seconds . World record is a major accomplishment for Sanju that this result has won the norm for the Olympic Games in Beijing, 2008.
